7 People You Should Be Following On Twitter

Based completely on my humble opinion, here are seven people that you should be following on Twitter:
  1. Kevin Rose- Kevin Rose is the founder and chief architect of Digg.com and a host for the wonderful weekly Diggnation Podcast. He is one of the most followed people on Twitter and is just a cool fellow all around.
  2. Alex Albrecht- Alex Albrecht could be considered Kevin Rose's counterpart. He is also a host for Diggnation and a founder of Revision3. Alex's posts are usually easy going (mostly just what he is doing at the moment) and not often business oriented.
  3. Shaq- Celebrities on Twitter are a dime a dozen. Shaq's consistent interaction with fans, however, makes him so much fun to follow. He will often put out tweets saying "First person to find me at the Phoenix mall gets two tickets to tonight's game" or something to that effect. He'll even send tweets during halftimes between games! Like Kevin Rose, Shaq has a huge Twitter followership.
  4. Jason Chaffetz- Congressman Jason Chaffetz is an interesting character to follow not so much for what he says but more for the fact that he has pioneered interaction between politics and Twitter. His use of Twitter was an essential part in winning his election- something that no other politician had utilized before him.
  5. Robert Scoble- Want technical insight? This is the guy to follow. Robert Scoble is one of the first to start the phenomenon we know as blogging. Twitter is a wonderful counterpart to his enormously popular tech blog, Scobleizer.
  6. Evan Williams- Evan Williams is the guy who brought us Twitter. So both out of respect and the want for Twitter updates, ev is a must follow.
  7. Chad Waite- Chad is the author of the Daily Derbi and his tweets are just about the funnest/most rewarding thing to ever hit Twitter.

P.S. No, I feel no remorse for the shameless self-promotion. Also, follow BigBags.
