For the last week I have been at (and in) Lake Powell for the first time in my life. I didn't know quite what to expect although I have heard so many good things about the lake that my expectations were considerably high. I spent the week laying out in the sun and jumping into the water from a very nice houseboat with a group of friends and Allie Robinson's family, who the houseboat belonged too. Their generosity was obvious when I was informed that not only would I be invited to come on this trip but that I would not have to pay a dime for any essentials like food and fuel. Knowing me that was the best combo I could have ever asked for- fun and free.
I had a blast just kicking around in the water, riding the jet-skis faster than my car can go, and even getting up for the first time on a wakeboard. I look back on the trip and think what a wonderful, relaxing time I had and how Lake Powell withdrawals are already setting in after a mere two days. I also think that my first experience at Powell has set the bar way, way high for me. So much in fact that I don't think any trip will ever compare.
Reporting much tanner than before,
Chad

Did you jump off any cliffs my friend?
Nice photos, Chad! I've still never been to Lake Powell. Needless to say, your photos make me completely jealous. :) Let's hike soon! I was up in Rock Canyon a little while ago and was almost bitten by a rattlesnake! Yikes!
I've only been to lake powell once and its because Andrews parents won a trip down there! And it was in October when it rained all day and was pretty cold. So you're luckky!!!
Glad you had fun!!!
