For anyone close to me or my family it is no secret that my family is going through some really tough times. I find it interesting that when times are bad I try to do anything and everything to keep my mind a bit distracted from the reality of the situation at hand. As such, I have found a new love for three things:
1. Tennis
2. Halo
3. Long scooter rides
It is neat that one can find a new appreciation in such times for something that otherwise would seemed normal or routine. On the flip side, however, it makes me analyze a lot of what "makes up" my life including biggies like religion and profession choices and even small things like what time I should wake up or my driving habits. I even look at people different, trying not to judge to harshly if I find something disagreeable with them or not to trust someone immediately if I find them friendly and agreeable.
As you have probably guessed this blog post doesn't really have a specific, underlying theme. I guess you could sum it up by saying that big events can alter anyone's outlook on their life, either for good or bad. I think it is important to look at the big picture rather than analyzing only the moment you are in. I am hoping that after this particular situation is resolved I can look back on it and feel that I have come out on top.

I don't think a blog needs a theme. For me, it's like a journal. There are so many times I wish I had a scooter to drive around on and think. Something about feeling the wind on your body is so much more theraputic than riding in a car! Anyway, keep posting! I love hearing your stories! Oh, and your gas saving techniques are awesome! I've put them to good use!
